With over 10 years of teaching experience, Ms Tan is widely sought after for her unique way of teaching Mathematics that distills complex concepts into bite sized bits that are easy to understand. Ms Tan has also painstakingly compiled all her shortcuts and secret GC hacks created over the years into her one-page concept maps that help her students score the 'A' effortlessly.

The greatest difficulty faced by students is transitioning from ‘O’ Level syllabus to ‘A’ Level syllabus due to the steep learning curve and increase in depth and breadth of content required. Ms Tan has an acute understanding of students’ difficulties and misconceptions. She thus created a system of shortcuts to allow her students to bridge this chasm and understand Math from a fresh perspective. Ms Tan believes that learning Math need not be difficult and often engages her students with vivid analogies that drive home the concepts immediately. Her novel teaching methodologies and intuitive pedagogy also led to her being dubbed by students as the “Most Innovative Teacher”.
